March is Portland Dining Month and 14 Oregon “A” List Restaurants will kick off the celebration by hosting winemakers for three course pairing dinners on March 1st.
Normally this type of evening would send you to your piggybank or you may not even get invited if you aren’t a wine club member. Not this time. Three course menus are $29 and wine pairings average $15. Shoot it can cost $15 just to park in Portland. Winemakers will be on hand to answer questions, talk about pairings, and shoot the breeze.
Five people will win dinner for two ($60 gift certificate.) Well four people ’cause we are crossing our fingers and using all of our wishes in hopes we will win. Restaurants get put on the Oregon “A” List because they have proven to be important partners in the Oregon wine industry. They are recognized for things like featuring Oregon wines from all over the state, offering menu items that pair well with Oregon wines, and hosting Oregon wine events. There are currently 113 recognized restaurants across the globe, including The Oregon Bar and Grill in Tokyo, Japan!
